My 2008 Halloween Tale

This is my costume for Halloween 2009. I am not going to wear the mask at Trunk or Treat. I don't want to scare any little kids

So, Mom comes home with a scratchy voice. We asked her if everything was alright, but she was having an anaphylactic reaction. She was having the reaction and it was getting bigger and bigger and bigger. And then, we had to call 911 about it. I was in the house when the firefighters and paramedics arrived. They took a couple of test’s of mom’s breathing and then they had her lay down flat on a stretcher. Then they wheeled her outside and into the ambulance.

(Mom here: I seem to be detecting some false memories...hmmm)

We sat there for 20 minutes worrying about what was going to happen to mom and that maybe we were not going to be able to go trick or treat.

(Mom again: *False memory alert*)

So, dad dropped us off at our friends, the Z’s, house and we watched an awesome movie, Armagedon. The Z’s neighbors were having a good party with really good food. My favorite was the lamb kabobs.

(Beep*Beep* Beep* Another false memory has been detected)

They took us trick or treating and my sister and I were really sad that we could not spend it with mom and dad.

(Warning...Warning...false memory overload...Warning)

So after about 3 hours of trick or treating, but it was so late that most of the houses were not giving out candy. When Mom and Dad picked us up from the Z’s, we were like really worried about what was happening and glad to see Mom was OK.

Then we went home.

This year I want to get LOTS of candy and then go to the Z’s neighbor’s party for a little while when we are done with trick or treating. It’s going to be a better year now that mom is healthy again.

(Mom's last word: Sorry Scout, I'll bet you will never give me your password again!)
